Dimmers for LED products-IS 60669-2-1: 2008

On 01 April 2021, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has required the Dimmers for LED Product to be registered as per IS 60669-2-1: 2008 under the Compulsory Registration Scheme from BIS.

Dimmer plays a very important role in adjusting the light intensity, and you can create a light of your space according to your mood. LED lights are dimmable, and there are two methods of dimming LED light, i.e., Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) and Analogue.

Dimmable LEDs function with PWM by producing a dimming effect or reduce the average power delivered by an electric signal. Dimmers come in a variety of sizes, from small devices the size of light switches to high-power units used in big theatrical or architectural lighting systems.
